The Devil, or DK, is Chris Mounsey—a graphic designer for print and web, user interface (UI) designer for web applications, brand manager, copywriter and prominent political blogger.

The Devil has been a designer in the professional print industry for twelve years, and in the web design industry for five, and has honed both his writing skills and his understanding of the principles and “netiquette” of Web 2.0 online communities through writing a highly-regarded libertarian political weblog—ranked #6, as voted for by bloggers and readers, in The Guide to UK Political Blogging 2007/08.

In the Total Politics Guide to Political Blogging 2008/09, The Devil's Kitchen was voted #2 Best Libertarian Blog, #5 Best Right of Centre Blog and, for the second year running, #6 Best Political Blog.

The Devil has been blogging for over four and a half years and his writings have appeared, in one form or another, in The Telegraph, The Guardian, The Scottish Herald, The Scotsman and also in The Big Red Book Of New Labour Sleaze and The Guide To Political Blogging In The UK 2007-8.

"I have never worked with anyone who is as good at getting the vibe and feeling I am going for. If you need any sort of graphic design then DK is your man. His vision and talent is quite astonishing."Andrew Ian Dodge, writer and musician.

The Devil has also written essays for the journalist-reviewed Wanabehuman blog and guest-posted at Stephan Shakespeare's 18 Doughty Street blog (as well as appearing regularly on 18DS's internet TV channel throughout 2007).

The Devil is a founder member of, and Head of Communications for, the UK Libertarian Party—for which he also built the website and wrote much of the manifesto. Launched in January 2008, the UK Libertarian Party now boasts over a thousand members and has recently contested its first elections.

The Devil is also a non-executive director of Rousemedia Ltd, a web solutions firm focused mainly on the political arena—with clients such as Shaun Bailey and Greg Hands MP on its roster.

The Devil's reviews during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe have appeared in Three Weeks and EdinburghGuide.com (2006 reviews collated here).

The Devil has been involved in amateur dramatics for over a decade, buring which time he has appeared as an actor in 26 shows, and produced 40 (including 12 in the Edinburgh Festival Fringe)—details of some of these can be found in the Friends of Bedlam Show Archive.
