Crazyface

This is one of my first pieces, created in 1998. Crazyface features a decidedly amoral angel and it was this that is reflected in the poster image. We shot the star of the show, stark naked, and then the wings were created by using a picture of his hand against a wall; this was excised from the background and then contrasted, stretched and doubled up.

Gold metallic ink was used for the titling and the spiral of words, this latter being a quote from the show. In certain lights, the spiral was all you could see: from another perspective, it was the angel that stood out.

The show sold out every night, and went on to be performed in the Fringe.
