Enola Flyers (front)

Before the Americans dropped the bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, they spread a less lethal load: circular flyers warning the citizens of those cities to flee before their town was annihilated. Not believing in such a capability, most refused to do so.

As such, the production team decided that we would use circular flyers to promote the show (which had a preview on the 60th anniversary of the dropping of the bomb on Hiroshima). The radiation motif was an obvious choice.

Four-colour process black was used for the Japanese characters so that they stood out, very slightly, from the plain black background.
